Well,here at Miss.Stitch we are getting ready for Easter!Sewing parties for children are great fun,they get to learn some basic sewing skills and create something to take home and cherish.Inspiring them to carry on sewing and creating.

Pink bunnies are appearing and.....

.......spring chickens in the form of egg cosies!and also finger puppets.
Felt is such a versatile fabric to use and easy to learn to sew with.No edges to hem
and an array of bright colours to use.

Sewing in Twickenham....tweet-tweet!

This weekend six cute little felt birds were made by six cute little girls!
The sewing party was such fun and the girls were very quick to learn.

Birthday girl,Isobel chose to make some

little birds with her friends

and we started sewing..........

They chose either yellow or pink felt birds and added their own touch with hearts and button eyes.Learning to do running stitch and
sew their buttons on.

With lots of help from Mum Helen,Helen's Mum,big sister Amelia and her friend Tilly,threading needles and tying knots......

before we knew it they were complete

and ready to hang up!

Then they were all off to dance!
